The silk in the Silky Alpaca Lace has very similar draping properties to the soy in the original yarn. Of course any laceweight yarn will work, and there are many really great examples of finished projects in a WIDE variety of yarn <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flutter-scarf/people" title="Flutter Scarf Projects" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">on Ravelry</a>. A yarn like Classic Elite Silky Alpaca Lace is very similar in structure and drape. The silk in the Silky Alpaca Lace has very similar draping properties to the soy in the original yarn.
