Pattern Errata
If the pattern was purchased from the online shop after the errata date, then the pdf is the corrected version. If you purchased the pattern from a retail shop, please check for all errata to be sure you have all the corrections.

For Interweave Knits, Summer 2006 version:
17-Nov-2006: Optional Errata. In Chart 4, where it is written to do a double decrease as sl1, k2tog, psso, it SHOULD be slip 1 as if to purl, p2tog, psso by picking it up from the back of work. (you can use the same symbol, but just change the directions in the key and it will work out right).For all Non-Interweave Versions:Also, in the last 4 rows (the written instructions, the ssk that lines up with those double purl decreases? It should be a p2tog. Regardless, they're not crucial changes. The knitting still works out, but I think it looks better this way and the changes will be made in the republished version.
23-Jan-2007: Chart #4 has been updated to include some missing decreases. In Rows 11, 13, and 15, the central purl column within the repeat should have inward slanting decreases flanking it as in all other charts. If you would like the new chart, please e-mail me with your Order # and I will reauthorize your download.Hidcote Garden Shawl:5-August-2010: In the text translation of Chart 2, Row 1 should say to repeat the bolded section to 8 sts before marker.
23-Jan-2007: In Chart #10 the two sides do not match. The left side is correct and the right side is not. On the right hand side of Chart #10, right before the yo that preceeds the center stitch, there should be a “slip 3 stitches separately, knitwise, then k3tog tbl” which is represented by a Σ or summation sign (an angular E or a backward angular 3). New version with updated chart is available for download.
6-July-2009: In the revised version Row 1 of Chart 5 has incorrect decreases. It should read: R1: k3, *yo, k3, k2tog, k3, yo, (k1, yo, k3, dbl dec, k3, yo) to 9 sts before marker, k1, yo, k3, ssk, k3, yo**, k1, repeat from * to **, k3. Also, Chart 8, Rows 5 & 9 are missing yo's. Row 5 should begin: k3, *yo, k1, ssk, yo, k3tog, k4... and Row 9 should begin: k3, *yo, k1, yo, k2tog, ssk, yo, k3tog, k2. New version with updated charts and text is available for download.
5-Jul-2007: While working the toe, in Pattern Setup Rnd 5, replace (ktbl, ktfl) into the same stitch - which was not listed in the abbreviations - with kb&f. This round should now read “p1, k1, p1, kb&f, p1, k1, p1, k28, p1, k1, p1, kb&f, p1, k1, p1, k30. (needles 1 & 2 each with 22 sts and needles 3 & 4 each with 15, 74 sts total)”Braided Cable Scarf:Also, changed kf&b in the abbreviations to be kb&f and added m1f and m1b to the abbreviations.

Cleite Shawl:20-Nov-2007: Instructions altered to clarify that Rows 1-4 in the setup prior to the charts are the same as Rows 1-4 of Chart 1.
Also, Row 30 of Chart 1 has been changed on the chart and the written directions to be worked as "yo, p1, p3tog, p1, yo, p7, yo, p1, p3tog, p1, yo".

28-January-2008: Row 29 of the written instructions should read "sl, k1, *p2, k2, p2, Cr3R, Cr3L, p2, Cr3R, Cr3L, p2, Cr3R, Cr3L, p2, k2*,p2, k2". The chart is correct, only the written instructions for Row 29 had the error.4-March-2008: In the abbreviations box, the description of Cr3R is incorrect. It should read "sl1 st to CN and hold in back, k2, p1 from CN." The abbreviation to the right of the chart is correct, it is only the abbreviation in the abbreviations box that is incorrect.

29-June-2008: For the 7" and 9" sizes, Row 15 of the written instructions has been corrected to remove the c1 over 1 right and replace it with c2 over 1 right. Wooly Wonka Shawl Club Version Only 15-Mar-2008: The Revised pdf was sent to club members via the e-mail provided during subscription. If you are a club member and haven't received the revision, please contact me. 29-June-2008: The heel turn has been modified as to add 2 more rows as follows to bring the total # of finished heel stitches to 20: Sl 1, p18, p2tog, turn. 20-Oct-2008: Dec. Rnds 11-13 are incorrect in versions prior to this date. They should read as follows:
Dec Rnd 11: (knit 3, k2tog) around (16 sts) 24-March-2009: Text directions for Picot 1, Row 8 should read p13, not p113. 5-August-2010: Instructions say to "Work Rows 1-46 of Chart 4 (306 sts)", but it should read "Work Rows 1-26 of Chart 4 (306 sts)" since there are only 26 rows in Chart 4. 15-April-2009: Left and Right thumbs for both sizes are transposed. Left Thumb instruction should be Right Thumb, and vice versa. 14-May-2009: For the text translations of Chart 2, Row 21's bolded repeat should be worked to "11 sts before next marker", not 12. 23-August-2009: For the text translations of Chart 2, Row 7's bolded repeat should be worked to "5 sts before next marker", not 4. Mountain Peaks & LW Mtn Peaks Shawls: 29-May-2009: Rows 1 & 13 of Chart 1 had extra decreases. 7-Apr-2010: In the revised pattern there were some problems with wrong side rows on the border charts and in the text translations. Please request a refreshed download of this pattern to get the corrections. 4-June-2009: The red box repeat on Chart 2 is off by one stitch in the revised version. The red lines should sit to the LEFT of the sl1, k2tog, psso's on Row 1. 2-April-2010: In the text translation for Chart 5, Row 3 should read: Twist & Knit: 5-August-2010: In both the print and download versions of Gable Mitts: Right after the cast on, the next row should be worked as follows: P1 (k1, p1) 12 times, k to end of rnd. 16-February-2008: For the 8" size only, Row 15 of the written instructions should read "p2, k4, p2, c2 over 1 left p, p4, c2 over 1 right p, p2, k4, p2, k2". The chart is correct, only the written instructions for Row 15 had the error.

Row 1 should now be: k2, *yo, k4, (k1, ssk, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, k2tog) to 5 sts before marker, k5, yo**, k1, repeat from * to **, k2.
Row 13 should be: k2, *yo, k5, ssk, k3, yo, (k1, yo, k3, k2tog, k1, ssk, k3, yo) to 12 sts before marker, k1, yo, k3, k2tog, k5, yo**, k1, repeat from * to **, k2
20-August-2009: For purchase version Wrap instructions for Chart 9 should read: "Work Rows 1-10 of Chart 9", not "Work Rows 1-20". This does not affect any other numbers in the pattern
R3: p1, k1, p1, yo, ssk, k5, ssk, yo, k6, ssk, yo, k1, yo, ssk, yo, k3, k2tog, (k1, ssk, k3, yo, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, yo, k3, k2tog) to 26 sts before
marker, k1, ssk, k3, yo, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k6, yo, k2tog, k5, k2tog, yo, p1, k1, p1.
20-August-2009: Bind off instructions should read: k2 *insert left-hand needle into the front of the 2 sts on right-hand needle, knit these 2 sts together through the back loop, k1; rep from * until all sts are bound off. Break yarn, and pull it through the final loop.
23-August-2009: The text version of Chart 1, Row 19 has the divisions and repeats marked wrong. It should read:
R19: p2, p2tog, (yo, ssk) twice, k2, (yo, ssk) twice, k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, (k1, [yo, ssk] twice, k1, [k2tog, yo] twice) to 1 st before marker, k2, (k2tog, yo) twice, p2tog, p2.
31-March-2010: For Chart B, Row 25 should begin: p5, k2, ktbl, yo, k3tog, yo, ktbl, k2, k2tog, yo.
For Chart C, Row 25 should begin: p5, k2, ktbl, yo, k3tog, yo, ktbl, k4
4-August-2010: Only in the print version: Due to a printing issue, some bits of text were left out of the printed book. Books shipped after 4-Aug-2010 will have the changes corrected. 14-December-2010: Remove the line of text referring to Rows 14-26 of Chart 1. There is no rows 14-26 of chart 1. Only work Chart 1 once.
Remove the ktbl from the beginning of Rows 1-4 of the Instep Chart.
